I've been working for 4 and a half months on a project called "COVI," which is a school for underprivileged children. Time flies, and I've never learned and experienced so much in such a short period. This project provides love and care to children growing up in challenging environments. What I love most about the project is the warm and trustworthy atmosphere. From day one, I felt very comfortable and welcomed. The children are friendly, sweet, and full of energy. We have fun and enjoy every day, never getting bored or feeling it's monotonous. No day is the same as another, and each day brings a new adventure and lots of fun.

I worked at the 'Santiniketan Tagore Educational Center' in Tumbaco, near Quito, thanks to ODI and FIIDES. Despite being a small and peaceful city, I had a relaxing and enriching experience. My host family was welcoming, and I joined other volunteers on exciting adventures throughout Ecuador. The highlight was my English teaching project at the school, where I learned a lot about myself and the educational system of another country. Teaching a non-native language to children with a different mother tongue had its challenges, but it was a fun experience. What I miss the most are the students, who hold a special place in my heart.
